Welcome to our 9th Global Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action!
The 9th Global Dialogue Platform will be hosted virtually by the Anticipation Hub from the 7th to 9th of December 2021. We welcome anticipatory action experts, supporters and enthusiasts from around the world to this special event, co-organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the UN World Food Programme (WFP), with a live studio in Rome. The theme of this year’s Platform is ‘Meeting the challenges of future crises: Protecting lives and livelihoods with anticipatory action.’Join us for a series of panel discussions, thematic presentations and interactive events that will bring together practitioners, scientists and government representatives from around the world to explore how anticipatory action can address the compounding and intertwined effects of the climate crisis, rising conflicts and economic shocks on the world’s most vulnerable people.
