Virtual Edition

Welcome to our 4th Africa Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action!

Given the circumstances, the 4th Africa Dialogue Platform will be held virtually from the 29th of June to 1st of July 2021 and we welcome all anticipatory humanitarian actors in Africa for this special event. The theme for this year is "Systems Building: Supporting effective anticipatory action in Africa" and we have a great line up of topics, speakers and panelists including the business community, government, academia and the humanitarian development community.  A wide range of diverse and interactive events around the topics of anticipation in the humanitarian system, Forecast-based Financing, Early Warning-Early Action, Disaster Risk Financing and policy oriented sessions are waiting for you. We look forward to having more actors join us.

We welcome you to join the anticipation community, get connected, share and learn from each other, while supporting us to jointly scale up anticipatory action in Africa.

The Dialogue Platform is organized by the Anticipation Hub and hosted by the German Red Cross and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the World Food Programme (WFP), the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre (RCCC) and the Start Network. The 4th Africa Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action is possible thanks to the financial support of the German Federal Foreign Office.
