Agenda

This year’s theme is ‘Preparing for the (un)predictable: anticipatory action in the face of a changing climate and changing contexts’ and you can read the concept note for the event in English, French and Portuguese.

The three days will focus on different sub-themes as follows:

  • Regional lessons and regional roadmaps
  • Regional roadmaps to national practices
  • Anticipatory action in a changing future - can this be locally led?

The agenda is packed with a fantastic line-up of speakers and panellists, drawn from communities, the private sector, governments, academia and the humanitarian sector. There are also several interactive sessions where participants can share their ideas, views and feedback. The plenary sessions will be translated online from English into Arabic, French and Portuguese.

We will introduce the thematic working groups, tools and resources available from the Anticipation Hub – including partner-led activities. Let's jointly identify opportunities to turn ambition into action by operationalizing roadmaps and plans through growing the anticipatory action community, engaging meaningfully with at-risk communities, and strengthening exchanges and learning between science, policy and practice.
